A few weeks ago there was an article out from Jim Rickards that suggested the BRICS nations are getting set to announce a new gold-backed currency at their annual meeting on August 22nd. Which would certainly be a significant monetary milepost if it does indeed occur.

Yet while time will tell if this is indeed what the BRICS are planning to announce in August, Vince Lanci is seeing increasing evidence that they are planning some substantial changes. Which he discusses in this week's silver report.

He also talks about how the silver market is being impacted by the growing silver demand in solar panels, amidst a depletion of the known silver reserves. A trend that's weighing on a market that's already in a deficit.
