You Came- Poem

You Came
You came into my life from afar
A visiting stranger
No thought of being in danger
The help you asked for was
Generously given and in exchange
You gave your all and pleaded
To the fishermen to leave their nets
and hedge their bets on tiptoeing
Across the world to see the wondrous
Tales that were to be unfold and told
Follow me and you will see
Queens and Kings
Shepherds and Flocks
Collectors of Taxes
Coats of many Colours
Women at Wells
Men in Dens and
Pharaohs in High Places
Sending Heroes to Desert faces
And just when you thought
You had won the hearts
Of one and all they smashed
Your face against the wall
And left you there without a care
Not remembering the loving-kindness
Or all you shared
You will be sadly missed
And I'll always remember
You died for the price of a kiss
PEACE!!!
