A study gave hospital patients 5,000-50,000 I.U.'s a day for 7 years: patients in a normal condition got 5-10k, diseased received 20-50k. They found it was safe long term. The speaker thinks the data show it takes a whole year to get your D levels up if you're malnourished. In normal patients the study just measured how high vit D intake raised vit D levels. In diseased patients they found 20-50k improved their condition.

My D3 supplement is 5000 I.U.'s and I'll usually take one plus a gummy. I'm upping it to 2 plus a gummy now that I watched this. Study says D3 might not be as good as other Vit D but I already have it.
