Portland DSA Leader Says Pine Tree Power Is a Scheme to Grow Socialist Party

Maine DSA member Rose Dubois spoke at the DSA National Political Committee Candidate Debate Panel. In a revealing remark, Dubois said the Pine Tree Power campaign is really just a way to grow the Socialist Party.

The first question presented to candidates was:
"What are the best practical examples of electoral work you've been involved with that demonstrate what a socialist electoral project should look like, and what are the next steps DSA should take to move toward building a stronger electoral program?"

DuBois answers, saying the DSA is using Maine Public Power to build up the Maine DSA chapter.
