How To SUPER Clean Game Cartridges (Read The Description For Tool Links)

Let's do something a bit different! I picked a really grimy used one in my collection for this demonstration and there was more in there than I expected, lol! The high contrast lighting I used here was specifically set up to show reflections/textures of things to help make seeing dirty spots as examples easier for you.

Here is the triwing screwdriver, and 38.mm 4.5mm bit set:

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (Good for SO many things besides just cart cleaning):

Dunno if they still make Recotion game cleaning fluid as I can't find any for sale, so here's this that I also have used before and found works just as well:

Electrical tape:

Alternately you can use hot glue to cover exposed circuit board spots that aren't supposed to be exposed. But not very thick as the cart won't fit back together if it hardens thick:

(So I'd still go with the tape as it's thinner and easier to work with)

Always remember that games like this are LONG past their warranty period. So it's up to you to keep them running. It doesn't take all that long to clean one either. This one was about 15 minutes WITH video explanation time. Plus it is (or was) one of the worst ones I have. So ones that were properly cared for wouldn't need nearly this much inspection/cleaning.
