"Possible" Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Analog Stick Drift Fix (Read the description too)

This issue sprung up in my right Joy-Con fairly recently and I was able to get it back to working normally using this method. I'm not sure if this is only a temporary fix as it has only been a few days. Though even if it ends up being so, this may still give it a bit more life. But I can't guarantee that it'll work for your's as there could be many reasons a analog stick goes on the fritz. Gunk making it sticky, dust, wearing out and electrical issues just to name a few.

Whatever it is though, Nintendo "should" repair it if it's under warranty for free unless it got damaged through misuse of course. There have been cases where Nintendo does it for free outside of warranty too, but they seem to be exceptions. So you can at least try anyway. UPDATE: They are now repairing analog stick drift for free even outside of warranty! See below for links. ANOTHER UPDATE: Another cause of drift has been found (Yep, more than one...) and it has to do with the bottom of the analog stick's casing bending down and away from it's usual spot. This apparently can be fixed with just a piece of a card. See the link below for the video on it.

If re-calibration fails, it's out of warranty and they won't repair it for free/at a decent price or you just don't want to send your Joy-Cons out and back for a few weeks for repair and don't care about the warranty, you could give this a try. It's not difficult to do (unless a camera is in your way, lol!) and the risk is pretty low. Though I guess if a Joy-Con is already borked and said warranty is out and you'd have to pay and the like, there's technically no risk since you have nothing to lose. :P
