So the game did actually flood and according to Epic, the water will recede gradually through the season and reveal new locations! I also presume older locations will become more playable as right now, a lot are waterlogged. Including all of my favorite named locations to drop to. I dunno "how" they'll do it. Maybe it'll be after each week's update the water will go down? Maybe it'll drop by a smidge each day and it's just hard to tell day by day? We'll see. Right now though I'm sort of in the "experimentation phase" of trying stuff and looking around, not caring too much about results. Which is fun in on itself. :P As you know, I tend to explore every nook and cranny of a game like a hamster scavenging every corner because I enjoy seeing all the stuff I can.

....Except for me being a sloppy builder of course. Which hinders my exploration somewhat. Of which I'll have to work on more than ever given the island being quite waterlogged. I did work on it a bit like ramp rushes and 90s, but it's not like a reflex as I should be able to get it as and thus not very efficient/quick. So generally people outbuild me. I gotta play around more on creative islands as it has unlimited materials. On the flip side though, I tend to out-shoot others (when not rusty :P ), lol! So it's like no matter where a person builds up to, I'll find a way to hit them, even on the low ground.

So yeah, the water right now makes things quite dicey! Being in the water makes it difficult to defend so it's like one big panic zone for everyone. I learned later you "can" start a build above even deeper water now, but it's still very awkward and thus still a panic zone. So I think people will end up gravitating towards the less flooded areas unless the storm pushes them there. Well, besides exploring of course. :P So I think when someone sees someone else on land while they are in water, it's going to be best to set up a build in the water right away to try and get set up before any shots are fired and thus can build more normally after that.

Though there's a bit of a risk-reward with one via the Fortilla because of it being in the middle of a lot of water. But the temptation of getting the Bottomless Chug Jug and Ocean's Burst Assault Rifle is a thing as they're good. Getting out of that spot will likely be a case of the big whirlpool or boats. Maybe. Also, thinking more about the Bottomless Chug Jug, maybe it's not as broken as i thought because in the heat of battle, you'll never have 15 seconds to down it. So it's more for those times between encounters to recover and since you can just hold that instead of health and shield healing items, it saves inventory room. Well... depending on your strategy. Fish are probably still the best healers. But having unlimited Chug Jug heals is not to be underestimated as there's certainly times when you can down it.

Also sharks are here now. Sharks are the best addition! XD Oh and at 12:55 when I said "is that a shark?!?!", I meant I was just surprised to see one so quickly. I mean obviously I already knew about "some" shark from the intro movies. But I felt the need to clarify it.
