Awesome Cloudy-day Solar Performance! Off-grid School Bus Conversion

Our solar system consists of 2.400 watts of solar and 520ah of lithium batteries at 24v. We work full time and usually have the Starlink Flat High-Performance dish, four monitors, and two computers running while we work that usually puts roughly a 20 amp load on our system (at 24v). We are pleasantly surprised that even on very cloudy days our loads get very close to breaking even and sometimes we can get fully charged on cloudy days!

We are a husband and wife team that loves to take on hard projects. We finished our bus project after 2 years of hard work and are now enjoying life on the road. We plan to travel for a year or two more while we prepare to homestead in northern Idaho or western Montana. Come join us as we document our journey. Our goal is to inspire you and your fellow viewers to go out and life life the Hard Way.
