Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis reiterated her intention to reveal charging decisions by September 1st in her investigation into attempts by former President Donald Trump and his supporters to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia.

“We’ve completed the work,” Willis stated during a recent NBC interview at a back-to-school event. “Over the course of two-and-a-half years, we’ve been diligently working, and now we’re ready to proceed.”

In a letter sent to the chief judge of the Fulton County courthouse in May, Willis indicated that charging decisions related to the investigation into potential criminal interference in Georgia’s 2020 general election could be announced in early August.

She requested that no in-person trials or hearings be scheduled during the weeks of August 7th and 14th, NBC News has reported.
