(Shower Session) An old hymn with New Christian Indie music, the words were written by John Monsell in 1863. Hope it's a blessing! - Hadyn

Howdy, my name is Hadyn, and my wife Merran and I are making music to glorify the Lord and build up the body of Christ. Specifically we're predominantly taking Old Hymns, and putting new original Indie folk songs to them. Along with making original Christian music in this style.

Our ultimate goal with all of this is to make 100 Hymns in this new indie style, and here on this YouTube Channel, we hope to release regular videos every couple of week or so.

This song is actually from our latest and first album, "Old Hymns New Tunes" which you can stream or download via Spotify or Apple Music, or any of the others just below.

Thank You!

Song Lyrics

Fight the good fight with all thy might;
Christ is thy strength, and Christ thy right;
Lay hold on life, and it shall be
Thy joy and crown eternally.

Run the race through God’s good grace;
Lift up thine eyes, and seek His face,
Life with its path before thee lies;
Christ the way, and Christ the prize.

Cast care aside, lean on thy Guide,
His boundless mercy will provide;
Lean, and thy trusting soul shall prove,
Christ is thy life, and Christ thy love.

Faint not, nor fear, His arm is near;
He changeth not, and thou art dear,
Only believe, and thou shalt see
That Christ is all in all to thee.

Words written by John Samuel Bewley Monsell, 1811-75
