Can you believe Trudeau is saying that his fight with Meta and Google is a “fight for democracy,” comparing it to World War II; essentially saying that the American tech companies are enemies of his state? WATCH the full Stand on Guard Episode 14 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3r88671GlKE

Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau describes fighting against Facebook and Google because they won’t pay the “fair share” to subsidize Canada’s failing, legacy, main stream media as a “fight for democracy,” and likens it to World War II. Bill C-18, is part 2 of the Trudeau Government’s censorship plan called the “Online Streaming Act”. Trudeau expects social media, Google and Facebook (Meta) to pay the legacy media when people share article links on the social media platforms – the amount social media is to pay is uncapped and has no limit. The reality is that the social media is allowing the msm to share on their platforms for free, allowing them to reach more people which increases their readership and online ad revenue. Rather than be out of compliance or pay an unlimited amount, the big tech is choosing not to participate by not sharing news links in the near future. Due to the HUGE failure of this bill the msm continues to lay off MORE reporters in Canada.
