Biden expected to sign bill reforming organ transplant system

Bipartisan legislation to overhaul the U.S. organ transplant system and expand access to donations headed to President Biden’s desk for his signature Monday. The bill would break up the United Network for Organ Sharing’s monopoly on the organ donation system and allow more public and private entities to bid on contracts to manage the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network.
