In the wake of recent events Prime Time rebroadcasts its 2011 award winning programme which uncovered the use of infants in Mother and Baby homes for medical research in the post war race to modify vaccines for polio, diphtheria, tetanus and measles. During the making of the programme the journalists also discovered that the remains of hundreds of infants who died in these homes had been sent for anatomical dissection, without parental consent, until the 1960s. 'Anatomy of a Scandal' was an investigation into medical research and vaccine trials carried out on children and babies in Mother & Baby homes and other institutions until 1973.
