Trek Marlin 6 Mountain Bike

The Trek Marlin is one of the most popular entry-level mountain bikes on sale today... and for good reason! The Marlin does a tremendous job combining competence off-road and versatility to be used as your only bike. It has a great way of feeling confident and it rides really nice to boot. Within the Marlin series, there is a 4, 5, 6, and 7. Those numbers represent the different levels of componentry coming on the bike. In this case, we are checking out the Marlin 6. It has a great sweet spot within the lineup. Boasting a Shimano Altus 2x8 drivetrain, SR Suntour fork with lockout, Tektro M276 hydraulic disc brakes, and best of all the Radioactive Red paint scheme. In all, it bridges the gap well between the top-spec Marlin 7 and the more entry-level Marlin 5. So if you are looking for a mountain bike to learn the trails and still commute to school or work, this should be on your list.
