Hello and welcome to this James the bike guy where today we're getting a chance to take a look at a commuters dream from Trek. So the Trek district is a bike that's specifically designed from Trek ground up to be a commuter. Now, of course Trek also has their FX series of bikes which is a fitness style commuter that can kind of bridge the gap as a hybrid between the two. But this district is purpose-built for urban riding or just having a bike that's coming factory with just about everything you need to have a reliable commuter and that means there's a couple of key features to this that are different than the FX or many of the other commuter style hybrids that are out on the market. The first things to talk about of course is going to be this district specific frame. So the district frame utilizes Trek's Alpha Gold Aluminum. It has shaped and butted tubing.
