Saddle Hunting Ep: 9 | The Ultimate Lower Step | The Ultimate Addition To The Ultimate One Stick

This is my 2nd season using The Ultimate One Stick. The Ultimate Platform in my opinion is exactly that! It is big enough to be comfortable, small enough to pack in and out, and ROCK solid on a tree! I didn't think this stick could get any better, but I was dead wrong!!!

The Ultralight Double Step and EWO Standoff I was using before was great. I highly recommend them if you are taking a minimalistic approach. But I found that with wet boots my footing didn't seem as "sure" as I wanted it to be. So when I saw the Ultimate Lower Step I knew I had to have it!

This step is a beast! Only adding ~1.2lbs, for total weight of ~5.8lbs, the pros absolutely outweigh that one con! Here are some features of this step:
-Textured powder coating
-One-piece step and gusseted standoff design
-Uses 2 bolts to attach and the stick mounts in a channel to eliminate flex
-Huge footing area
-Grab handle for setting the stick
-Bolt-on aider attachment point for use with sewn or removable aiders
-Aider placement moves the aider away from the tree
-Can still use the Pack N Play with your Ultimaider or other aider

Don't forget about the one stick rope hooks!!! Managing your rope can be a headache! I've tried several methods, but never could find a quick/smooth way to wrap the rope in a way that it wouldn't come loose. These hooks filled that void! Takes ~6 seconds to wrap/unwrap, and will not come loose! Use one hook if you have a Double Step on the bottom or use two hooks if you have the ULS.
