Sunlight: Grapes need a lot of sunlight to ripen properly. They should get at least 6-8 hours of sun each day.

Soil: Grapes prefer well-drained soil and they don't like to be waterlogged. They can tolerate a variety of soil types, but it should be deep enough for the roots to grow and should not be overly rich in nutrients, which can lead to excessive vegetative growth at the expense of fruit production.

Rainfall: Grapes have a moderate need for water. Too much water, especially during the ripening period, can dilute the flavor of the grapes and promote fungal diseases.

Pest and disease resistance: Grapes can be susceptible to various pests and diseases, including insects, fungal diseases, and viral diseases.
