USS Bataan Fueling at Sea

ATLANTIC OCEAN (July 13, 2023) Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) is replenished by the Henry J. Kaiser-class replenishment oiler USNS John Lenthall (T-AO 189) for a fueling at sea evolution during a scheduled deployment. The U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps routinely participate in scheduled deployments to improve combined combat readiness, increase operational capacity, and strengthen relationships among allies and partners throughout the region.
