Alright, thank you very much. And hello again, radio friends. How in the world are you? You doing all right today? Oh, I’m fine, praise God. No complaints. Happy to be alive and able to open up the Word of God so as to share it with you. I think the nicest thing the Lord has done for me these past years is to give me a daily contact with thousands of my friends by way of God’s Word. I try to put a handle on it so that you can get hold of it for yourself. God’s Word, the Bible, is forever true, infallible, inerrant, eternal, whether or not anyone reads or believes it, but it becomes a value to you when you apply it to your own heart.

We’re looking, you and I, at 1 Timothy 4:12. “Let no man despise thy youth but be thou an example of the believer in word, in lifestyle, in Calvary love, in spirit, in faith and in purity.” You be an example of the believer. The importance of living a life that is in itself proof of what our Lord Jesus can do, that is something we must never, never forget. “Let no man despise thy youth.” The fact that you’re young does not militate against effective Christianity.

I’m just looking now at one of my commentaries that said, “At age 22, Gladstone was a Member of Parliament. At 24, he was Lord of the Treasury. Sir Robert Peel entered Parliament at 21 and was Lord of the Admiralty at 23. Charles Fox became a legislator at 19, an age when young men are given to breaking rather than to making laws. Bacon graduated at Cambridge when he was 16, was called to the bar at 24. George Washington was a distinguished colonel at 22. And Napoleon commanded the army at 25.
