Cerveza Summer Velvet Rodeo Music Video

Velvet Rodeo, composed of Leah and Bryan, combine the sound of both contemporary and classic country with harmonies as smooth as Carolina Honey. The duo draws inspiration from artists such as the Civil Wars, Lady A and Little Big Town.

The pair hail from North Carolina and formed Velvet Rodeo roughly four years ago. For Leah (Swansboro, NC), her musical journey began as an early teen singing in her church choir and shortly after picked up guitar and songwriting. For Bryan (Hildebran, NC), his start wasn’t much different. He started singing in Southern Gospel quartets which led him to develop a deep love for vocal harmonies.

Fate led Leah and Bryan to meet in 2019 while performing in the musical production of “Oklahoma” in Morehead City. Due to the undeniable artistic and romantic chemistry between the pair, Velvet Rodeo was born.

After cultivating an impressive North Carolina following for a few years, the duo made the move to Nashville, TN, in 2022. Diving headfirst into the creative community in town they threw on boots and landed multiple Broadway residences including Nudie’s and Second Fiddle while also frequenting The Stage, Legends and more. Cowriting sessions with Lance Carpenter (Kelsea Ballerini, Curtis Grimes), Jon Mullins and Matt Wynn along with sharing stages with Jelly Roll, Trailer Choir, Drew Baldridge, Whiskey Wolves of the West, and more have continued to reinforce that the move to Music City was the correct next step in their career.

With such notches in their belt, the band is poised for a BIG year in 2023. Make sure to join their mailing list to stay up to date on all news, music and tour dates.

Velvet Rodeo partnered with Lonerider Brewing to create a limited release IPA that is currently available in their Raleigh, NC, “Hideout.”
