CAMPING FAIL? Driving for 6.5 HOURS to Camp 30 Minutes from Home?

Sometimes things just do not go as planned.
Join us today as we went out to explore and discover new camping sites here on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
After doing our research and pinning a few potential free campsites on our map, we set out for the day, ready to relax. But things did not quite turn out that way. After hours of driving we almost gave up until we decided to stay the night in one of our secret spots, only 30 minutes from home.
Though our attempt to stay in a new camping site failed this time around, we did discover new sites for our future Vancouver Island camping adventures.
