This video features the Museum of Socialist Art in Sofia - the statues are from the time of the Communist regime in Bulgaria and represent the period between 1944–1989.

This museum is controversial because some Bulgarians dislike anything that reminds them of the Communist era in Bulgaria.

At the same time, there are people who love to see these sculptures (they are mostly foreigners, who are interested to find out more about the Communist regime).

In any case, these monuments are part of our history and should be treated with respect.
