Hover X1 video testing at 12000 ft

The camera says do not operate above 2000m (~6500ft). It also states not to operate over snow, and not to operate under 32 degrees F. I was disappointed because I bought the camera to operate while snowboarding, above 2k meters, under 32 degrees, and over snow... I wanted to test each of these scenarios and try it anyways, first test was at 12000 ft and it was a bit windy. The hover mode worked ok, but it really was working harder than my home elevation at 6500ft. The orbit mode started fine, but the rotors were maxed out it was much louder, it was fighting the wind, it actually failed to land and I had to grab it and flip it to shut it down. I was immediately given a message. "Insufficient power to perform operation" I didn't attempt any other modes at 12000 ft.
