"A lot of environmentalists burn out because they get so crushed by [their defeats]. And I didn't want that to happen [to me]. So I said, I'm going to focus on my own conduct. I really don't have any control over anything except the little piece of real estate inside my own shoes. And God's in charge of the results. But I have to do my part, which is to get up every morning and say, 'Reporting for duty, Sir!' And then going out to the frontlines and fighting the battle. And if we win or lose, that's in God's hands. I don't have expectations. So if we lose, I'm going to treat it the same way as if we win. If you don't have expectations, you don't get disappointed and you can't be beaten because no matter what happens, you're going to come back fighting. And that is what makes me relentless. Because I don't have any expectation. No matter what they do to me, I'm going to get up and fight."
