People normally think of cats as being the most curious animals on earth, but the truth is that dogs are just as eager to explore things. They are willing to stick their noses almost any place if that means getting a chance to experience something new.

For the most part, this curiosity doesn’t get them into trouble. After all, how much trouble can you get by exploring drainage pipes?

One dog, however, got a little too curious and found himself in an utterly terrifying situation.

This dog was found physically trappedin a drainage pipe, after these good Samaritans heard the sound of whimpering and whining and planned a rescue. They followed the sounds of the distressed dog and found that it was coming from a water pipe on the ground.

The men cut part of the metal pipe away. They started removing the clay and soil, but the dog remained immobile and couldn't wiggle his way out of the hole. By the time they got to him, he had been stuck in the drain pipe for three days, so he couldn't feel his body anymore.

The animal was described as dehydrated, very thin and very hungry, and also found to be infested with fleas.

Luckily, he wasn’t injured, and with the help of his rescuers he emerged from the hole completely fine, just a little shaken up and numb.

Hopefully he will refrain from any more hole-exploring adventures in the future, or get stuck in something a little softer.
