Migrants continue to cross the border despite barriers

Floating barriers and razor wire, installed as deterrents along the Rio Grande, haven’t dissuaded certain migrant families from pursuing a better life across the U.S. southern border. Despite the increased risks and challenges these obstacles present, many remain steadfast in their journey. Their motivation to endure stems from the urgent need to flee crime, extortion, and dictatorship in their home countries.
