In this episode, we welcome Mike Glover to the show. He is a retired Green Beret and CIA contractor that deployed 15 times during the Global War on Terror. He is also the Founder and CEO of Fieldcraft Survival which teaches survival and disaster preparedness training courses and provides equipment that aids with that training. Additionally, he has a new book out called Prepared: A Manual for Surviving Worst-Case Scenarios. In this interview, we discuss why he decided to join the military and how he ultimately became a Green Beret, common misconceptions about the Spec Ops community, why he decided to transition from the US Military to the CIA, what most people get wrong about being “prepared”, why lack of exposure to hard situations could lead to tragedies, how pre-decision enters into the equation of survival, lessons we can take away from infamous mass shootings, the types of equipment and gear people should consider owning in various circumstances, how his personal faith affects how he operates, and much more. Let’s get into it…
