Subsidies drive Wind Turbines - not wind

Subsidies drive the wind turbines, not wind.
In fact, the turbines use energy rather than producing it.
To start the turbines requires energy from the grid.
Once they start to turn, they do create electricity but that electricity is so intermittent and unreliable, that when it gets back to the grid, it has to be balanced which can't be done via the grid. So the energy is just let off. So the turbines are doing nothing but taking money from the economy.
