Lost and abandoned pets saved by local police program

A South Florida Police Department has a UNIQUE program to help ALL residents in its city. Pooches in Pines: A volunteer organization which functions alongside the Pembroke Pines Police Department Animal Assistance Program (AAP). Their goal is to reunite dogs and pets of all sorts found within the city with their owners. As of this post, they have helped close to 1,000 pets with 85% of them being reunited with their families. The remainder of pets found, after the county dictated waiting period, are adopted into new loving homes. The Animal Assistance Program and Pooches in Pines is operated on donations.
