Initial Thoughts on Yakuza: Like A Dragon (First 15 Hours)

Welcome to my initial thoughts on Yakuza: Like A Dragon! This game was developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, published by Sega, and released in 2020 on the PS4, PS5, Xbox, and PC. After spending around 15 hours and making it up to Chapter 4, I thought that I should do a video like this because there is just so much to talk about and I have a feeling that this is going to end up being a close to 100 hour game for me. lol This game is essentially a turn based rpg crossed over with Grand Theft Auto taking place in Japan. There is just so much to do, from fighting enemies in turn BASED combat, to enhancing your bonds with party members, a la Persona, to participating in some of the most well made minigames and sidequests I have ever seen, such as Dragon Kart (an obvious parody of Mario Kart), can collecting, and even a minigame that has you attempting to stay awake during a movie. Trust me, it is great. I refrained from talking much about the main story other than the names of party members and that one cutscene with Ichiban and Nanba, which I thought was fantastic. "A dream is what keeps you going!" If you enjoyed this video, please let me know if you would like me to do something similar to this when I make it to the midway point in the game. Otherwise, I will save all of my other thoughts for a full fledged review after I complete the game. Thanks for watching, let me know your thoughts in the comments down below, and have a great day!
