This group of brain cancer survivors don’t take special moments for granted, which is why every holiday season they pay it forward. The group picks a patient going through treatment and like Santa Claus they give that person and the family, twenty-five days of Christmas, and they have been doing this for the past few years. They pick a family who could use some family joy and surprise them with twenty-five gifts, one to open every day until Christmas.

Dominic Cardillo was recipient in 2014 and now he is one of the folks bringing some cheer to suffering families. These heroes are all members of a facebook group of people who have dealt with brain cancer.

This year they have picked a father of four young kids from Indiana after learning the struggles that his family is going through this season, the man has an aggressive form of brain cancer. He is still going through treatment and he has actually been having some great results.

This group of people traveled to Indiana to surprize the man and his family by the presents bought by survivals. They wrapped and labeled the presents by the days they were to be opened. It was heartwarming to see the kids get excited.

Even in the darkest of times there is still some light, and there are still some people that care about you. The group of survivals say that it is really important to help each other and help those who are going through the same thing they have been going through, which is why they will continue this gift-giving tradition.
