Gentle German Shepherd Watches Over Baby Quails

Thorin, the German Shepherd, shares his home with newborn quails. And he is such a gentle sharer. Unlike cats, he doesn’t show a shred of jealousy but he only likes to take care of the quails. He caresses them so attentively and so gently that the mere look at him makes our heart melt. When dogs meet somebody for the first time, it is perfectly normal to smell them because that is the only way they can get to know somebody and find out whether they can be friends with them. So, after having smelled them, Thorin is sure that these quails can be his friends and he can now relax by lying down on the floor.

This super caring dog just observes the birds as they move around them and he knows that he is going to be their guardian dog until the end of time. Thorin has such a sweet personality and he is so patient that he lets the birds play with their paw and climb on their leg. We can see that he loves them a lot by licking their bodies - that’s how dogs show that they like somebody. We are sure that their friendship will only become stronger and it will develop into a bond that nothing and nobody can break!

Unfortunately these newborn quails don't have their mother around. But it looks like they don't have to worry about any enemies with Thorin the German Shepherd looking after them! These cute little guys have grown quite fond of Thorin, as he has to them. Watch as they climb Thorin and play with one another while Thorin chills out. The gentle giant even gets in on some the action, using his snout to play with them and help them climb onto him.

These unlikely friends are enjoying their glorious time with one another. So cute! You can only imagine what could happen when these little newborn quails grow up. Picture a bunch of full born quails just playing and following Thorin around the house. Now that would be something! But for now, let's just enjoy this adorable video of them as babies.
