Gift of new labs from Russia shows its solidarity with Africa – Burundian president

The first day of the 2023 Russia-Africa Summit wasn't only about politics and the media. Health security was one of the top priorities as well, with Moscow announcing it had provided Burundi and Uganda with two high-tech mobile monitoring labs. Both facilities can detect high-risk infectious diseases and can conduct over 500 tests a day. That's as the three countries earlier agreed on common steps to provide biological security on the African continent.
