A caring cat lady has given up her 4,200 square foot home to more than a thousand felines. Sixty-seven-year-old Lynea Lattanzio now lives in a trailer on her six acre property and allows the cats to run freely through the five bedroom house. Today she runs Cat House On The Kings which is California’s largest no-cage, no kill sanctuary for feral and abandoned cats. Lynea and her team of volunteers care for about 800 adult cats and 300 kittens.

She started fostering cats in 1992 and acquired 96 by the end of the year - successfully rehoming all of them. In 1993 she became a veterinary technician to help keep the animals’ medical costs down and the number of cats continued to grow.

The team starts feedings at the shelter at 4 am and they also give medical attention to critically ill cats. To learn more about adoptions at Cat House On The Kings visit http://www.cathouseonthekings.com

This is one interesting lady. We have heard of the stereotypical cat lady before, but this has taken that stereotype over the top! Over 1100 felines is insane! At least all these cats have a good home and will be happy and safe!

Having that many cats require a whole lot of cat food! She spends a a whole lot on those cats alone! Over a million dollars a year, that is crazy! If she ever runs out of the food, she could always buy some more cat food from Amazon!
