When it comes to rescuing unfortunate little souls from a grim fate, there are but two paths one can take. Either you call the professionals to handle the situation the best way they know, or, if things are really looking dire, take matters into your own hands. Most times, it is this second path that good Samaritans decided upon, because the feeling afterwards is priceless and they might just gain a friend in the process.

There is no other story that can make you cry happy tears more than an animal rescue story with a happy ending. There is something so sweet about seeing a tiny kitten brought back to safety after being stuck in the foundations of a house, or maybe helping a stranded malnourished dog on the street. It just fills you up with joy and hope that everything will get better.

This rescue, however, will leave you on the verge of a heart attack but just wait until the end. It is a known fact that dogs simply adore water in any form they happen to find it. But it is all fun and games, until someone gets hurt.

The events in this video happened on December 17, 2016 in the town of Simferopol in Crimea. This doggy managed to get himself in the freezing cold waters of the Gagarin pond, but simply couldn’t find a way out. The ice was too slippery for its tiny paws and he kept on paddling in the middle of the pond. Thankfully, a good samaritan saw the tiny pup and decided to lend a helping hand. He got inside the pond and pushed him towards the shore and towards safety. Talk about a happily ever after.
