Bitcoin adoption may seem like a tech fad to those who know little about it, much like getting the newest iPhone or gadget. But it's closer to the early days of the Internet. Many lawmakers saw the World Wide Web as a trend that would soon perish, others wanted to regulate it to death. Luckily, the US let 'er rip and went with a 'hands off' approach. This created an enormous economic and technology boom centered in the US where American companies were at the forefront of online development and job creation. Countries that didn't jump on the www train were financially crushed, as they could not make up for lost time and opportunities. That ship had sailed.

We are still in the infancy of Bitcoin 14 years after its birth. Bitcoin is still volatile at this period but will explode within the next few decades. Slowly then Suddenly. I would expect that countries that have not adopted it and added it to their reserves will panic, print billions of Fiat, then try to purchase as much Bitcoin as possible with that inflated currency before the inflation scam is noticed. After that, that's it. It's a 'One Trick Pony'. The first to do so may be successful. Nations that try to pull that scheme later will find the cat is out of the bag and fiat will no longer be accepted, only hard assets.
