17-year-old Canadian teenager was caught defacing a UNESCO World Heritage site, Toshodaiji Temple. The temple is a cherished national monument from the 8th century in Nara. The historic "Golden Hall" is now marked by the teen's name etched into a wooden pillar.
This comes as a trend of tourists have been caught vandalizing historical sites.
