Full Body Pre-Season Rugby Workout

Pre-season is the perfect time to start focusing more on power and conditioning, whilst also working on strength specific to the movements you will be hitting in Rugby.

Use this workout to develop power, strength and also some conditioning to finish.

Two advanced methods have been used here:

- Contrast training

Here I used heavy sets to potentiate a larger amount of power production in subsequent sets.
Heavy Squat Pattern, into a moderate triple extension pattern, into a fast and light triple extension pattern.

- Cluster sets

Using 3-2-2-2 rep scheme with 20-30 seconds intra set rest. This allows me to use a 5-6 rep max, yet get 9 reps. Great for strength and power
