The atmosphere at Gorilla House was very tense even before breakfast.
Nene, Ai and Kiyomasa were avoiding Shabani, but they had a fight with Shabani on the way.
At that time, I did not understand why the gorillas were fighting, but later I found out the reason.

The gorillas went back to their bedrooms in the basement and came out for breakfast a while later.
It was at this point that I noticed something unusual about the gorillas.
They returned to their rooms early, having eaten very little food.
They ate only a few pieces of tomatoes, eggplants, and other vegetables.

The incident occurred when Shabani's son, Kiyomasa, was about to return indoors.
Shabani tried to approach Kiyomasa in a intimidating manner. Kyomasa's mother, Nene, and sister, Ai, saw this and threatened Shabani, who screamed and chased him away in order to protect Kyomasa.

It was reveal that the fight was caused by Shabani intimidating his son Kiyomasa (10 years old), who has matured as a male, as he is also a male.
This kind of behavior of silverback gorilla intimidating blackback gorilla can be seen in other herds as well.
Momotaro, a silverback at the Kyoto City Zoo, often intimidates his eldest son, Gentaro (11 years old).

However, on this day, Shabani's threats were repeated over and over again, and each time Nene and Ai were screaming and chasing Shabani.
Kiyomasa also fought back against Shabani.

It would have been better if it had ended as just a fight, but things went in a bad direction.
During the course of the fight, Kiyomasa lost his energy and began to reject Shabani.

After that, all the gorillas except for Kiyomasa went back inside, but only Kiyomasa stayed outside. He was hiding in a blind spot so that his herd mates, especially his father Shabani, would not see him. It was a long time, several hours later.
