A former military intelligence officer turned whistleblower testified before the House Oversight Committee's national security subcommittee, revealing that Congress has been kept in the dark about unidentified anomalous phenomena, commonly known as UAP or UFOs. David Grusch, who served in the Air Force and National Geospatial Intelligence Agency for 14 years, raised allegations during the hearing that executive branch agencies have withheld crucial information about these mysterious objects for an extended period.

Accompanied by two former fighter pilots who had direct experience with UAP, Grusch served as a representative on Pentagon task forces investigating these phenomena until earlier this year. He disclosed to lawmakers that he learned about "a multi-decade UAP crash retrieval and reverse-engineering program" while examining classified programs. Despite his request, he was denied access to these programs, and he accused the military of misusing funds to hide these operations from congressional oversight. Grusch also mentioned that he had conducted interviews with officials who possessed direct knowledge of aircraft with "nonhuman" origins, and some of these craft had recovered "biologics."

During the hearing, members from both parties questioned how Congress should proceed with investigating these remarkable allegations. This reflects a growing willingness among lawmakers to demand greater transparency from the executive branch regarding these phenomena.

Representative Tim Burchett, a Republican from Tennessee, stated, "We're going to uncover the cover-up, and I hope this is just the beginning of many more hearings and many more people coming forward about this."
