Posted On July 26, 2023 Many people followed in the footsteps of their ancestors this year by taking part in the ancient tradition of climbing Tory Hill on the second Sunday of July. In the early afternoon, more than 50 people were present to hear Michael Fortune give a talk at the summit, organised by the South Kilkenny Historical Society, on the traditions associated with Fraochan Sunday, also known as Bilberry, Hurt or Hurst Sunday.
