Reel 1, recruits detrain at Great Lakes Naval Station, bathe, eat, listen to the station band, pass in review, and do calisthenics. Reel 2, recruits exercise and stage boxing matches. Sailors leave landing craft and wade ashore at Key West, Fla. Hydroplanes take off. A submarine surfaces. Marines practice bayonet tactics, do calisthenics, throw grenades, take weapons apart while blindfolded, and practice trench warfare tactics.
