Special Counsel Jack Smith announces new charges in Mar-a-Lago classified documents case

Special counsel Jack Smith has brought three new criminal charges against Donald Trump in the Justice Department’s investigation into the former President’s alleged mishandling of classified documents. According to court documents filed Thursday, Smith also charged Mar-a-Lago maintenance worker Carlos De Oliveira with conspiracy to obstruct justice, making false statements, and destroying documents.
