Lion Attack: Buffalo Wrestles With Lioness

A LIONESS is sent spinning into the air by a buffalo in the Londolozi Game Reserve in South Africa. The two lionesses targeted the buffalo bull who initially fought off the young predators during an early morning hunt. They eventually wrestled their prey to the ground - but they were unable to close the kill. After an epic struggle lasting several hours, the buffalo regained its strength, stood up and shook off the lionesses. Eye witnesses say the buffalo escaped the attack, but with such severe injuries it is unclear if it would ultimately survive.
