We Can't Help But Admire This Puppy's Dauntlessness

You just gotta admire the guts on that pup. We can’t tell if it just a really, really tiny puppy, or if it just dwarfs in comparison to the Great Dane! Whatever the case, the minuscule pup proves just how dauntless it is, wagging its microscopic tail while Sasha checks it out. The pup shows equal curiosity, as it lifts its tiny head up to meet Sasha’s dotted nose to say hello!

For a moment there it looks like the pup has a permanent guardian in Sasha, but someone yells “squirrel” and off she goes to look for the speedy rodent. That’s OK, there are a lot of other dogs that will gladly take up on the role.

Muttshack, established in 1968, is non-profit, and a project of the National Heritage Foundation. 'Muttshackers' rescue animals from shelters, rehabilitate and nurture them to health in homes they call 'MuttShacks', before finding them forever homes with loving families.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the MuttShack Foundation rescued over 3,000 animals and in 2005, founders Amanda and Martin St. John were honored with special awards from the United States House of Representatives and the City of Los Angeles for rescue efforts and community service.
