It's #BellLetsTalk Day and I am talking about some touchy stuff.
The stigma and marginalization of those who struggle with mental health and addiction is a profound social issue. Especially in these times of such massive anxiety.
And, it has NO prejudice. Everyone, at some point in their lives (many times, if we are all honest) break down.
When we view a tragedy through the lens of a narrative, we miss - often VITAL - information.

* The tale of the homeless man has so much more to it. He had signs of healing wounds on his gaunt, pale face. And, he was arrested long after the warrant was issued. I believe he was picked up because the statute of limitations on the charge was coming up. They didn't have to hunt for him. They injured his elbow when they, unnecessarily, roughly cuffed him and PUT him in the car. Given the person I experienced, I can't imagine he resisted.

Another crafted stream of consciousness.
I open my mouth and the UNIVERSE wags my tongue.
A paradigm shift can only happen with a collective shift in individual perspectives.
Saying the things none of us want to hear. And, we all have to face.
