Hear the true sound of the standard BMW R 18 motorbike, riding at various rpm's; accelerating, cruising, decelerating, on flat ground and up and down steep hills. All filmed in the stunning Welsh countryside. You can hear the mechanical sounds of the engine and gearbox as well as the exhaust.
This bike has the standard exhaust system so you can hear what it sound like. No aftermarket pipes or end-cans (slip-ons)!
This 1800 cc two cylinder boxer engined motorcycle produces mammoth amounts of torque at low rpm! 150 Nm (110 ft/lb) between 2000 rpm & 4000 rpm, and peaks at 158 Nm (116 ft/lb) at 3000 rpm! Most motorcycles don't even get anywhere near that peak, and between 2000 rpm and 4000 rpm, most are producing a fraction of their maximum.
We will have many different videos of this motorcycle coming soon! Including a full long term review.
