On a freezing cold December morning Andrew and I set out with the goal to use our post fly trout box to try and catch some wild rainbow trout. When we woke up in the morning the thermometer read 15 degrees Fahrenheit with ice forming along the edges of the small creeks. We knew this had turned into a challenge video when we got to the creeks and realized the water was low and clear, which is not an ideal situation when the water is also near freezing.

Our goal was to catch trout with only what we had in our post fly box and we succeeded, with a size 16 Copper John fly winning the day. We hope you enjoy the video and please check out post fly and help support the channel!!
