Bleeding Blue

Who could put a dollar value on a human life? Well, Steve Green could, of course, as he cracks out the statistics on the financial cost to the top five blue states as more and more people make a wild dash for the freedom and sanity of the red ones. And as Bill points out, there's more than just money at stake in this Migration from the Madness.

  • Daughter left PA after getting married and just bought a house in Florida. Really wish she had chosen Tennessee because then we might consider joining her. Florida is too hot.

  • Sadly it will be a decade before the next reapportionment of U.S. representatives following the 2030 census. I don't think we have a decade of freedom left.

  • I live in the Bay Area and so want to leave this dystopian state, but I simply can leave my family. Funny thing, when I tell my democrat family members that I want to leave, the first they say to me is "Why." Like that meme, all the dems I know all think everything is fine. My cousin thinks Texas is the worst state in the Union, especially because of their new abortion laws. I suppose like the rafts between Cuba and Florida, that is why the U-Hauls between CA and TX are all going in one direction.

  • The comment is for Scott: Re - paraphrasing: 'Whenever someone moves here from California I tell them "Welcome to the United States". In 1990 me an my boyfriend flew to Las Vegas on the Red Eye, then rented a car and drove to San Bernadino California to see his sister. It was cheaper than flying straight to California and we also drove all around the southwest of U.S. On our way back from California we drove to Arizona and stopped at a motel for the night. The owner, taking a measure of my 'Balti-moron' accent asked: "Where are you from? Philadelphia?" I responded: "no, from Baltimore, Maryland area." And that two-bit comedian responded "Welcome to the United States!" I responded, pointing Westward towards California, "thanks, we just came from Mexico!"

  • Why is SEL curriculum (DEI/CRT) in most Florida school districts? The kids won't learn math or reading but they will be great marxist radicals.

  • Democrat leaders know that they have a major political problem: Too many democrat voters are concentrated in CA and NY which is causing them to win elections by huge 30-50% of the votes. This is a problem because they're loosing elections throughout the country by single-digit votes. If there was only a way to have those excess voters move to the rest of the country so that they can win more districts. If you look at a map of the US showing each county, the country is overwhelmingly red; it's only blue on the West and East coast, and few spots here and there. If you want to know why dems are going what they're doing, simply look at the results.

  • Redfin just published their lists of Top 10 cities people want to move TO and FROM. No. 1 in the move TO list was Las Vegas and No. 1 on the move FROM list was San Francisco. I was surprised to an entry from my OWN state (Hartford, CT) was number 8…two spots ahead of DETROIT!
