In this video, I delve into the concept of narcissism, explaining that narcissists lack self-insight and growth due to a protective shell formed from deep-seated shame. This shell both safeguards them from feeling vulnerable and inhibits self-reflection, making narcissism a tragically self-defeating condition. At their core, narcissists are deeply wounded and mirror traits of an immature inner child. I emphasize the importance of inner child work for those fearful of narcissistic tendencies. It's crucial to establish boundaries in relationships, which doesn't equate to narcissism. Narcissists often project their characteristics onto others, labeling boundary-setters as narcissists, indicating their deep-rooted defense mechanisms.
